Alchemy’s Press Reception and Soiree : January 24th 2008

Alchemy studios have been even more of a hive of activity than usual of late, with the final preparations for our upcoming soiree. For this very special event, we have secured the richly atmospheric Horse Hospital in London’s fashionable Bloomsbury district as the venue for our festivities
.

Conveniently situated mere yards from Russell Square tube station, the Horse Hospital – once an actual equine sanatorium – will be transformed into a candlelit cavern of curiosities for the evening. There will be live chamber music, refreshments, and sundry entertainments on offer, including an absinthe fountain, courtesy of La Fee, with experts on hand to host a tasting of this premiere brand. http://www.lafeeabsinthe.com/

The focus of the evening will be a unique opportunity for guests to view the very best of 30 years worth of Alchemy design. In addition to examples of the studio’s earliest designs, those with an interest in innovative jewellery for both ladies and gentlemen can preview Alchemy’s new silver ranges. Not least the exclusive line of pieces made in collaboration with Japan’s Beyond Cool studio, and the jawdroppingly bizarre and beautiful limited edition Sanctus 47 range. Alchemy’s accomplishments in other mediums and forms will also be well represented, from delicate samples of ornate glasswear, to impressive examples of the Gothic furniture crafted by the company. Some of the silver pieces – notably candelabras – will also be on display here for the first time.

Of course, we haven’t forgotten our rock roots, and among the Alchemy musical memorabilia we’ll be previewing the prototype for the Omega Skull guitar, manufactured by our partners at Hot Picks, flown straight over especially, after debuting at the NAAM show in the USA. It promises to be a rather special evening, so please note that entry is by ticket only – if you require tickets, then drop our press agent Gavin a line on gavin.baddeley@blueyonder.co.uk with your credentials and requirements, and we’ll do our utmost to help.

Alchemy @ London Edge.

Alchemy has been proud to be associated with London Edge – now the world’s leading alternative fashion show – since its inception in 2000. So it’s the ideal venue to preview our 30th Anniversary collection, with a few tantalising glimpses of the surprises to come. Alongside the new catalogue, visitors will have an opportunity to view Alchemy’s jaw-dropping new display, which Alchemy’s head honcho Geoff Kayson promises will be a bit different this year, featuring what he describes as a ‘Miss Haversham’ look. Unlike Charles Dickens’s infamous Victorian matriarch, however, the new collection is most certainly not mired in the past, with the studio’s most ambitious and innovative range to-date.

Drop by the stand to chat to the Alchemy staff, and pick up a press pack detailing exciting new developments to celebrate Alchemy’s 30th birthday. Any press folk unable to make the London Edge shouldn’t hesitate to get in touch for a press pack (which includes a few exclusive gifts) and to discuss press and promotions associated with Alchemy’s 30th Anniversary.
